Does UCPath offer remote or hybrid roles? Expand

UCPath offers a flexible work environment. Most jobs are eligible for hybrid work schedules with two or three days in the office, and some roles can be fully remote.

Hiring Process

How does the hiring process work? Expand

After potential employees submit their application materials online, UCPath recruiters review their materials and ask candidates who meet the qualifications to participate in a telephone or digital screening interview. Candidates who advance in the process will participate in Zoom panel interviews and then meet with the hiring manager.

Where do UCPath interviews take place? Expand

Candidates will start the process with virtual interviews. Some roles may advance to an in-person interview in Riverside, California.

Will current UC employees have priority for UCPath jobs? Expand

UCPath will follow the same recruitment process for all applicants. Certain job postings may state a preference for UC experience based on the job’s responsibilities.

Are UC benefits and service credits transferable? Expand

Current UC employees without a break in service may transfer UC benefits and service credits. If your benefit providers are regional and not offered in Riverside, such as a primary care physician in your medical plan, you may need to transfer to another service provider in the Riverside area.

Are UCPath employees part of UC Riverside (UCR) or the UC Office of the President (UCOP)? Expand

UCPath staff serve all UC locations systemwide and are employed by the University of California, Office of the President (UCOP).

Will UCPath offer a relocation allowance? Expand

UC does not typically provide relocation pay for employees moving within California.

Will current UC employees need to complete a new probationary period? Expand

UC employees who have completed a probationary period at their current locations will not need to complete a new probationary period unless they have had a break in service.

Can UC employees get time off to interview for a UCPath position? Expand

An employee scheduled for an interview at UCPath shall be granted reasonable time off with pay for an amount of time normally equal to the time that would be required for an interview at the employee's own location.
